Louie Varland was the Twins 15th round draft pick in 2019 out of Concordia University in St. Paul. He was a multi-sport athlete at North St. Paul High School and then chose to become a Golden Bear, joining his brother Gus (who was drafted by the A’s a year earlier).
He made a couple of appearances at Elizabethton in that summer of 2019. And then came this crazy 2020 year and season.
